Hevel'
PJ was a great friend for decades to me. I started my Professional Motorsport career in 81’ at (17) years of age by founding my company Speedteq here in Phoenix, AZ and briefly met PJ starting with the SEMA show and then we would run into each other at various races from NHRA to Motocross events. In 2005 I phoned him and asked if I could get a photo shaking hands with The President of The AMA and a quote since I was going to jointly announce with Yamaha Corporation of America that we just signed a multi year agreement as their new Factory SuperCross | Motocross Racing Team here in North America. PJ was thrilled to hear this news and happily made that PR engagement.
Professional racing wouldn’t be the same without PJ’s technology he provided many years ago especially NASCAR , NHRA & Formula One. ALL of these series couldn’t survive without the PJ1 | VHT traction chemicals PJ Supplied.
Over the years we scheduled lunches and talked about life , racing and theology..
I just brought a (42) year old Yamaha home last week and was thinking about PJ and wished I could tell him all about the restoration I have planned and hear him tell me everything about this specific model I should know too ..
PJ gave me a number of business lessons he learned from some extremely difficult situations that he survived through and I’ll always be grateful for his wisdom and advice but what I truly am thankful for was I could always make that phone call or send that email and no matter how challenging his schedule was I would get a timely response and a happy voice or salutation.
God Speed PJ | PJ1
Your old friend,
Bradley from Speedteq
