Michael Christian Fisher's Obituary
Michael Christian Fisher was born on December 5, 1982 in Enid, Oklahoma to Dr. John Dumas Fisher and Kathryn Hickman Fisher. The Lord called Michael to his home in Heaven on April 23, 2026.
Michael attended Metro Christian Academy and graduated as valedictorian in 2001. Following graduation he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science at University of Tulsa in 2005. After that he went through medical school and received an MD degree from the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine in 2009. Upon completing medical school he returned to his first love of computer science and obtained a master's degree at TU in 2014. He advanced his studies further at Harvard University in Bioinformatics. As is evident, Michael loved academia and felt at home there. He also loved music, especially classical music, and many times studied listening to it.
Michael became a believer in Jesus at a young age and loved studying the Bible throughout his life. He was passionate about sharing and defending his faith.
Michael was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, William Sterling Fisher, Jr. and Geraldine Dumas Fisher, his maternal grandparents, Sewell Brice Hickman and Mildred Sparks Hickman, and his father, Dr. John Dumas Fisher.
He is survived by his mother, Kathryn Fisher, his brother John D. Fisher, Jr, wife Stephanie, nephew, William "Liam" Fisher and neice, Grace Fisher. He was blessed to have lots of aunts, uncles, and cousins whom he loved dearly.
A celebration of his life will be held late summer in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
