Gesine Michold-Brehm
Michael was always someone who brought joy and laughter wherever he went. For many years, I thought of him as the little brother I never had. He was the person I could turn to with life’s questions — always ready to offer advice, lend a helping hand, or simply listen without judgment.
One of my favorite memories is how we used to visit zoos together. It became “our thing” for a while, and those days turned into some of the moments I’ll always treasure most.
We shared many adventures across different parts of the world, creating memories during a time when we were both discovering ourselves and figuring out life. Through it all, John and Michael shared a deeply special bond. Like many brothers, they had their ups and downs, but the love between them was always there. I know John loved his brother dearly and always will.
Michael’s parents were also a constant source of love and support throughout every chapter of his life, always standing by him as he followed his own path.
I feel incredibly fortunate to have known Michael and to have shared such meaningful moments and memories with him. I’m sharing a few pictures from those times that meant so much to all of us.
