Amanda, Stephanie, & Craig, I am so sad to hear of your mom's passing. When I found out today, I sat for a while and thought about her. I chuckled at some of the memories. She & Bryce were always so nice to me when I would come to your house. Even though I haven't seen her in years, I can still hear her voice and her laugh. My thoughts and prayers are with the family of Jane. She graduated one year behind me from Bixby high School. We attended First Baptist in Bixby. Where her Mom, Trudy, played piano. My Aunt Jane showed me lots of love and was always on my side. That was a very secure place to be! She had a beautiful smile and infectious giggle, and was so cute when she got excited and did her mini jig! She was smart and talented, and I miss having conversations with her.
I worked for Bryce and Jane McClain at By-Weld Industries in Bixby. They always treated their employees with respect and appreciation. Over the years I became very close and attached to them both. I always admired the love and life they shared with each other. They always seemed to know what they wanted and worked extremely hard together to get there. I know on a personal level, I do not know how my life would have turned out without the two of them. They treated like family, never turning their backs on me, encouraging me, and giving me nurtured advice when I needed it. Even after leaving their employment, they were still there for me, such special people. In life we sometimes do not tell others the important influence they have had on our lives, but fortunately for me, I was able to tell her and Bryce those feelings, and I am so thankful she got to hear it from me. I am extremely grateful to both, and deeply saddened that Jane has passed, but I will never forget her laugh, and everything she did for me in my life.
So sorry to hear this! Jane was a quilting friend that I enjoyed being with a lot. She made gorgeous quilts and she always let me do the binding once she got her quilts back from the quilter. She made me feel like I was the best at what I loved to do. She will be missed! To know Jane, was to love Jane! You always knew where you stood with Jane, and if you didn't know, just ask her - she would tell you! So sorry for all her family. I hope each and every one of you got at least one of her beautiful quilts! She had a specific family member in mind every time she started a new quilt.
