Julita Anne Myers' Obituary
Julita Anne Myers was born on October 4, 1941, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, the only child of Boyd and Maxine Mildred (Wishon) Myers. She was raised in Tulsa, where she received her education and later graduated from Will Rogers High School. During her school years, Julita attended classes alongside future notable figures such as Leon Russell and Susan Hinton.
Julita married Jim Burns, and together they were blessed with four children. She devoted her life to being a homemaker and a full-time mother and wife, roles she embraced with love and dedication. Family was always at the center of Julita's world.
She shared a special bond with her grandmother, affectionately known as Grandma Wishon, and treasured the time spent visiting the family farm in Rogers, Arkansas. Those moments remained dear to her heart throughout her life.
Julita was a kind and gentle soul, known for her loving nature and deep devotion to her family. She was especially proud of her role as a mother and grandmother, offering warmth, support, and unconditional love to those around her.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two children, Melanie Burns and Monty Burns; and one granddaughter, Jessica Burns.
Julita is survived by her two sons, Mitchell Burns and his wife, Doniece, and Michael Burns and his wife, Laura; five grandchildren, Zach, Josh, Sarah, Cody, and Brooke; and one great-granddaughter, Rylyn Loeburger.
The family plans a private gathering to honor and celebrate the life and legacy of Julita Anne Myers.
