I am so grateful for my relationship of over 60 years with Garnett Cole and his family. They all have been very gracious and supportive to me and my family. Brother Cole was very instrumental to me in my ministry giving me much encouragement as I was getting started. I am saddened at his passing but greatly rejoice in knowing that he is with his Lord who he loved so much and served so faithfully. My prayers are with Maxine, Mitch and other family members.
Janell and I met Garnet and Maxine while we were members at Red Fork. He had already retired but was very active even part of the weekly visitation and outreach. He also served other churches. We became friends and I loved his preaching. I would sometimes talk Janell into skipping our regular services to go and "hear Brother Cole." I featured him (his story and a favorite sermon) in a book of sermons I published in 2005.

Our deepest heartfelt sympathies to the family. Garnet and Maxine hold a special place in our hearts. He was our pastor and friend. He always had a big smile and big hug and encouraging word anytime you seen him. Garnet and Maxine are my moms best friends. She will miss talking and seeing Garnet. He lived a long blessed life. Dear Maxine and family,
I will never forget the impact Garnet has had on our lives. So thankful he performed our marriage ceremony and that you were both involved in my life growing up. You both always made me feel special (and special to the Lord) and for that I’m eternally grateful. May the Lord give you His comfort and strength at this time. What a great reunion awaits us all.
