I first met my Aunt Debbie when she came to our house to be with David my Moms brother when he came home on leave from the Navy. I was only about 12 or 13 and they made such a handsome couple. Since them weve spent holidays and visits both in Calif and Oklahoma and Ive known Eddie since he was born. The times we traveled out to ok and all 7 of us were welcomed into her families home where we all felt all the Rainwater hospitality and love that they could show us. We loved those visits and will allways cherish those memories. Debbie will allways be my favorite Aunt. And will hold you dearly in my heart. I know your home now Rest In Peace. Rodney,Lori and Eddie be well and take care of each other and your families. I love you all.
Debbie was quite a bit older than me 11 years she was so beautiful I used to watch her put her make up on and roll her big beautiful hair in curlers 60s style hair teasing it on top and flipping the bottom up Oh and dont forget the big cans of aqua net. One time when we still lived in California and she was gone I snuck in her room and was trying to learn how to use hairspray and I drop that big can on my toe and it turned black and blue , well now she knew that I had been in her room but she felt worse that Ive hurt my toe so all was well. Im sure that I got my love of music from her she played records in the house all the time any time that I cried she would go play Frankie Vallis big girls dont cry and I would feel better. When I was Young I thought she was a movie star and watch her put her makeup on and and fix her hair and she never went out without it. When we lived in Fontana California and she was dating David He sit out in the car and wait for her to come out but I would beat her to the car and sit next to him so I could keep him from sitting next to her she said because I was jealous. They always said that was cute But I just didnt want him to touch her Or to take her away. I remember we had to move back to Oklahoma she was 18 she did not want to move back to Oklahoma so she went out to the army base in Washington to live with our older brother Gerry and sister Lisa I was devastated then when she flew in to visit us for the first time She was coming down the stairs that are attached to the airplane not in the terminal and she came down in a miniskirt white gogo boots and jet black hair she look like Priscilla Presley . I was so happy to see her. We will all miss her spinach salad and real baked cheese cake with strawberries.Fly as high as you can sis and find the others cuz I know theyre waiting on you . Im happy to say that I have no doubts you are in heaven with Jesus and of course our mama shes very close to a saint. Deb was a beautiful woman inside and out! She always worried about everyone else and their problems and if there was a way that she could help then she would! I remember all of the good times sitting around her kitchen table with family talking and eating of course! Im going to miss her and her phone calls!Rest In Peace Deb️ Love Cindy Rainwater
