Alyce Rodgers
Anita was my very best and dearest friend. We met 64 years ago, and it was best friends forever from the first day. We shared all aspects of our lives with each other, whether day to day problems, our children, sad or happy times, just everything that mattered too either of us. We always called each other “Girlfriend”, and it didn’t matter if we were at home, on the phone or in the middle of Wal-Mart! Whether we were close by or separated by miles, we always knew when we were needed by the other. Anita brought so much joy, love, fun and laughter into my life, and I tried to do the same for her, that I can’t imagine not speaking with my dear sister. I am so blessed to have had her in my life for six-plus decades, and I will love and miss her forever more. Girlfriend, please sleep in sweet eternal peace, until the day we see each other again.
