Zachary Thomas Coats Jr., 17, of Bixby, Oklahoma, passed away on July 4, 2023. He was born on December 5, 2005, in Tulsa, and was the beloved son of Amanda and Zachary Coats Sr. Zachary was the cherished younger brother of Aiden and held a special place in the hearts of his maternal grandfather, Russell Odell, maternal grandmother, Annette Burnsed, paternal grandfather, Tommy Coats, and paternal grandmother, Liz Mann. He also leaves behind many aunts, uncles, and cousins who loved him dearly. Zachary was an intelligent young man who was known for his beautiful smile and unwavering loyalty. He was a bright student and the top of his class at Bixby High School. Zachary had a passion for academics, collecting retro video games, building and modifying computers, cars, hanging out with his friends and spending time with his girlfriend, Ella. These hobbies brought him joy and allowed him to express his creativity and intelligence. He absolutely loved the Pacific Northwest and was leaning heavily on attending The University of Washington, majoring in Engineering and/or Architecture. A celebration of Zachary's life will be held this spring to honor his memory and the impact he had on those around him. It will be a time for family and friends to come together, share stories, and remember the vibrant spirit that Zachary brought into their lives. Zachary will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. His memory will forever live on in the hearts of his family and friends. May he rest in peace.
