William O'Neil Beauchamp's Obituary
William "Bill" O'Neil Beauchamp, age 93, passed away peacefully on February 18, 2026, at his Bella Rose residence in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Bill was born on November 12, 1932, in Prescott, Arizona, the son of Earl Eugene and Edith Isabelle (Garnhart) Beauchamp. He completed his high school education in Arizona before pursuing higher education at college in St. Louis, Missouri, where he would build his career and life. Bill dedicated his professional life to public service, working as a tax auditor for the state of Missouri throughout his entire career.
It was at a Church of God convention at the Lake of the Ozarks that Bill's life was forever changed when he met the love of his life, Gladys. The couple were united in marriage on September 2, 1982, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, beginning a devoted partnership that would last the rest of his days. Bill served faithfully as a deacon in the Church of God, and he and Gladys remained steadfast and committed to their faith and congregation throughout their lives together.
Those who knew Bill best would describe him as a man of genuine warmth and quiet grace - someone who always had a smile on his face and a good sense of humor ready to share. He was extraordinarily devoted to his wife and family, and was known for his humility, always quick to apologize and ever mindful of others' feelings. Above all, Bill was a man who strived each day to be the very best that God created him to be.
In his leisure hours, Bill found great joy in the simple pleasures of life. He loved the outdoors - whether casting a line while fishing, taking peaceful nature walks, birdwatching, or relaxing in the porch swing. He cherished camping trips and the fellowship of card games, and he found special fulfillment in serving as a leader and mentor to the young men of his congregation.
Bill is survived by his beloved wife, Gladys; his children, Bobette Tracy and husband Bryan of Jefferson City, Missouri, Tante Silberberg and husband Dan of Lebanon, Missouri, and Tambi Aks and husband Rob of Overland Park, Kansas; Gladys' children, Kenneth Cook and wife Sandy of Drumright, Oklahoma, Marvin Cook of Tulsa, Raymond Cook and wife Donna of Colcord, Oklahoma, and Jean Ann Cook of Moore, Oklahoma; his nieces, and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, extended family and friends.
A memorial service celebrating the life of William O'Neil Beauchamp will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday at the Rivercrest Chapel. All who knew and loved Bill are warmly invited to attend and share in honoring his memory.
"Always striving to be the very best that God created him to be."
