Wilburn Cox, Jr., 68, of Tulsa, passed away on December 17, 2025, at Saint Francis Hospital.
Born on January 30, 1957, in Tulsa, Will was the son of Wilburn Cox, Sr. and Catheryn Wilnetta (McKnight) Cox.
He graduated from Catoosa High School with the Class of 1974. Will worked as a skilled welder for many years at Superior Welding and UBA, where his expertise and craftsmanship were well-respected. He possessed a remarkable talent for fixing anything and everything, and his abilities extended far beyond welding. Will had a passion for landscaping, arts and crafts, and home decorating, bringing creativity and beauty to every project he touched.
Known for his impulsive spirit, creative mind, and larger-than-life personality, Will was a hero to many who knew him. His wild enthusiasm for life and genuine care for others left a lasting impression on all who crossed his path.
Will is survived by his sisters, Cynthia Cox and husband Robert, and Carol Selby and husband Jack; his daughter, Rebecca; his son, Jeremiah Cox; nieces Cheryl and Emily; nephew Noah; and his lifelong love, Nancy Black.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Will's memory will be cherished by his family and the many friends whose lives he touched with his generous spirit and unforgettable presence.
