A graveside ceremony to honor the life of Wannah Lee Jinks will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, December 16, 2023, in the serene surroundings of Welch Cemetery.Wannah gracefully departed this world on November 24, 2023, at the age of 89, enveloped in the warmth of Saint Francis Hospital in Tulsa. Born on April 9, 1934, in Welch, she was the beloved daughter of Robert and Bidy Warden. Wannah's journey began on a cattle farm near Welch, where the roots of her character and resilience took hold. In 1952, she proudly graduated from Welch High School, setting the foundation for a life filled with purpose and connection.Wannah Lee Jinks' life was forever intertwined with that of her high school sweetheart, Franklin Jinks. United in love, they embarked on a journey of companionship and shared dreams, exchanging vows on July 30th, 1953. Their marriage enriched each other's lives in immeasurable ways.Known for her creative spirit, Wannah found joy in the art of quilting and embroidery. Her creations, filled with dedication, stand as a testament to her skill and passion.A nature enthusiast, Wannah had a deep appreciation for birds and wildlife. Whether observing them in the quiet moments of solitude or sharing stories with those around her, she found solace in the beauty of the natural world.May Wannah rest in eternal peace. Survived by her two devoted daughters, Rebecca Stanley and her husband, Ben, residing in Bixby, and Robyn Victor and her husband, Brad, of Bennington, Nebraska; her grandchildren: Rachel Hough and her husband, Brandon, of Bartlesville; Todd Victor and his wife, Sarah, of Tabor, Iowa; Laura Victor and her husband, Nick Smith, of Omaha, Nebraska; and Robert Hanna of Broken Arrow; her great-grandchildren: Emalee Hough, Annaleah Hough, Brynley Victor, Bodun Victor, Miles Victor-Smith, and Brecklynn Victor. Wannah was preceded in death by her husband Franklin; her parents, Robert and Bidy Warden; and an infant son, Franklin Lynn.
