James Thomas “Tom” Duncan was born September 25, 1950 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Woodrow Duncan and Rosetta (Nichols) Duncan.
He spent most of his life in Tulsa apart from his time in Korea. Tom enlisted in the United States Army in July of 1971. He proudly served his country in the 31st Field Artillery Regiment (“In Periculo Nos Jubete”) during the Vietnam War. He was responsible for working on nuclear warheads. Upon his honorable discharge in 1974, Tom served in the Reserves until 1977.
Tom worked in the print shop business; most of his career was with Tayloe Paper Company and with Norris, an oil and gas part manufacturer.
In his spare time, Tom enjoyed hunting, fishing, and working on cars.
Tom passed away February 17, 2021. He was 70.
He is survived by his daughter, Melissa Provenzano; and grandchildren, Jonah C. Venable and Kadin G. Venable.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
