Stonie Taylor Morrison's Obituary
Stonie Morrison, age 55, of Collinsville, Oklahoma, received his angel wings on April 14, 2025. He passed away at Hillcrest Hospital in Tulsa.
Born on March 15, 1970, in Wichita, Kansas, Stonie was raised in Andover and graduated from Andover High School. In 1989, he met the love of his life, Shannon, along with her son, Shayne. The two were married on June 20, 1992, and later welcomed their daughter, Storrie, in December 1993-his beloved "baby girl."
A dedicated provider, Stonie worked hard while earning his degree from Southwestern College. He went on to build a successful career in aerospace engineering, a field where his talent and drive shined.
Stonie will be remembered for his dazzling smile that could instantly warm a room, and for what he lovingly called the "Morrison scowl"-a signature expression he was proud to see passed down. Known for his teasing and playful sense of humor, Stonie had a tough exterior, but those who knew him quickly recognized the kind, loving, and compassionate soul within. He was hardworking, deeply loyal, and lived with purpose.
Stonie found joy in collecting antiques, admiring classic cars, and vacationing along Florida's Gulf Coast. But more than anything, he treasured time with his family-especially his grandchildren. He delighted in seeing those he loved feel welcomed, valued, and full of joy.
He is survived by his loving wife, Shannon; his two children, Shayne (Amy) and Storrie (Chet); and his five cherished grandchildren: Averrie, Gage, Rhett, Declan, and Ennslie Taylor.
Stonie will forever hold a place in our hearts. As one of his favorite songs says, "This ol' life will leave you wishing that you had five more minutes." We love you, and we miss you deeply.
