Steven Bodine Obituary
A graveside service to remember and honor the life of Steve Bodine will be 1:00 p.m Friday, February 18, 2022 at Bixby Cemetery. Steve passed away February 8, 2022 in Tulsa. He was 58. Steven Allen Bodine was born March 13, 1963 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to William Kelly Bodine and Sandy (VanScyoc) McElroy. He spent the majority of his life in the Tulsa area, but attended and graduated high school in Salina, OK. Following high school, Steve attended OSU Okmulgee where he received training, and a degree, in drafting. He then found employment with Callidus Technologies where he worked for many years. At the time of his passing, he was employed by Tulsa Combustion where he not only had high standards for the work he accomplished, but also enjoyed the atmosphere. When he was not working, Steve enjoyed listening to music, especially his favorite bands KISS and AC/DC. He also enjoyed playing his many guitars. In earlier years, Steve spent numerous hours putting together model airplanes and rockets or he could be found bowling or shooting pool. Steve was fond of spending time outdoors - especially if there was a barbeque to be had. In later years, Steve needed no real hobby to get him away from the house, so he enjoyed watching sports and movies. He had his trusted companions, his dog and cat, at his side. Described as passionate, private, humble, and stubborn, Steve liked to have a good time and was a great listener. He didn’t have much to say, but always made sure his words counted. Steve will be greatly missed by those he knew and loved. Those he leaves to cherish his memory are: his mother, Sandy McElroy; sons: Steven Bodine and James Bodine; sister, Debbie Wuenschel and husband, Peter; grandchildren: Maddox, Saraphina, Jaxson, Sydney, and Cayden; four step-sisters, Rhonda, Carol, Cathy and Terri.Steve was preceded in death by: his father, Bill Bodine and by a brother, Thomas Bodine.
