Stanley Bryant Allred's Obituary
Stanley Bryant Allred, 79, of Tulsa Oklahoma passed from this life on December 13, 2024. Stan was born July 21, 1945, the son of Jack Wesley Allred and Oleta Wilburn Allred in Chickasha, Oklahoma.
Stan's father served in the USAF and the family lived in Oklahoma, Texas, Okinawa, Japan, and returned to the states in 1963 To Alexandria, Louisiana. Stan graduated from Bolton High School in 1964.
It was there he met Rubiene McNeill, and they married in 1965. On October 5, 1966, their beloved son, Ritchie Lynn was born.
Stan worked as a Service Writer at Morock Ford in Alexandria, Louisiana, and later, after returning to Oklahoma, at Hudiburg Chevrolet, in Oklahoma City.
In 1970, Stan went to work for the St. Louis - San Francisco Railway as a Brakeman. In 1974, he became a Locomotive Engineer for the Burlington Northern San Francisco Railway. He enjoyed a long career with the BNSF, retiring July 31, 2005 after 35 years service.
Five years into retirement, he took a position with Jenks Public Schools as a school bus driver. He served in that capacity for nearly 11 years, much to the surprise of a few of his friends!
Stan enjoyed all things "transportation". He loved fixing up cars, and then trading up for the next one . . . he owned several Nomads, Corvettes and old Chevy trucks.
He also enjoyed his Harley Davidson motorcycles, even kept his 2002 V-Rod parked in his living room as he was short on space in the garage! He took many trip with his friends from the Tulsa Hog Chapter No. 1, to such locales as Ruidoso, New Mexico, Colorado, Daytona Beach, Florida and Sturgis, South Dakota, Hot Springs and Fayetteville, Arkansas, among other interesting destinations.
On June 28, 2010, he married his best friend and love of his life, Lisa Davis Long. Together, they enjoyed motorcycling with friends, tinkering with his 1940 Ford Deluxe and Lisa"s 1965 Mustang. They enjoyed local cruise-ins and car shows and also honey-do projects around the house.
Stan was a kind and loyal friend, a loving husband, father and grandfather. He loved his many four-legged "babies", as well the pets of his friends, to whom he was known as Uncle Stan.
Stan is survived by his wife Lisa, his son Ritchie of Owasso, OK, his brother John Allred and wife Sandy of Oklahoma City, step-son Jeffrey Long and wife Brooke of Morris, OK, and three grandsons: Mason Long, Korbyn Long and Westyn Long. Also, his niece, Chelce George and nephew, JW Allred, and a host of cousins and many good friends whom he deeply loved.
