Spencer Lee Chism's Obituary
Spencer Lee Chism passed away on July 15, 2024, at Porta Caeli House in Tulsa at the age of 48. Born on December 2, 1975, in Ft. Smith, Arkansas, Spencer was the beloved son of Bobbie Gene and Katherine (McGruder) Chism.
Spencer's early years were marked by his talent in baseball, a sport he excelled in during his youth. He graduated from Jenks High School as part of the Class of 1994. His adventurous spirit led him to travel all over the country in the construction industry. He eventually established Patriot Roofing in San Antonio, a successful business he operated for ten years. In 2023, Spencer returned home to Tulsa due to illness to be closer to his family.
Spencer loved spending time on his boat near New Braunfels, Texas. He was driven, motivated, charismatic, and fashionable-traits that defined his vibrant personality. Known for his larger-than-life presence, Spencer's love for life was evident in his many trips to Las Vegas and his passion for attending concerts and live music events across the country.
Spencer is survived by his daughter, Jade Harley Chism; his brothers, Jeff Chism, Steven Chism and daughter Gentry Chism, and Ryan Chism and wife, Dacia; and his uncle, Jason Matthews, and wife, Michelle. He was preceded in death by his parents.
A graveside ceremony will be held at White Chapel Memorial Gardens in Springfield, Missouri, where family and friends will gather to celebrate his life and legacy.
Spencer will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
