Shirley Jean Smith, 86, left this world peacefully on December 19, 2022, with her family by her side in Glenpool, OK.
Shirley was born December 7th 1936 in Tulsa, OK to Jess and Dorothy Nevel. Her father was an ironworker in Tulsa and her mother was a dedicated homemaker. She grew up in Catoosa with 3 siblings, Genevieve, Jesse, and Donald Ray. She married the love of her life Donald Joe Smith on July 15, 1960 and raised their 5 kids together.
Shirley is survived by her brothers: Jesse Nevel and wife Sue and Donald Ray Nevel; Her children: daughter Karen Wright and husband Danny; son Pawnee Brown; son Donne Smith and wife Tonya; daughter Lori Parker and husband Jeff. Grandchildren; Anthony Wright and wife Laura; Christopher Wright and wife Elizabeth; Johnathon, Joshua, Lindsey, River Brown; Tera Kay Clark and husband Joe; Nathan Smith and wife Brittny, Kyle Smith; Ryan Smith and wife Sherry, Danica Rector and husband Alex, Erica Coyle, Alyxandrya Parker, Jayde Parker. As well as 22 great grandchildren and many other family members and friends.
Shirley is preceded in death by her parents Jess and Dorothy Nevel; husband Donald Joe Smith; sister Genevieve Hardison, son Terry Lee Pflueger- Smith, grandson Cassidy Pflueger and many other loved ones to welcome her home in Heaven.
