Sharon Anne Bourne's Obituary
Sharon Anne Bourne, 81, of Tulsa, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on January 15, 2026, at the Villages at Southern Hills in Tulsa.
Born July 4, 1944 in Clinton, Oklahoma, Sharon was the daughter of Willis and Myrtle (King) Richerson. She grew up in Oklahoma City before her father's work brought the family to Tulsa, where she began high school at Nathan Hale before graduating from Will Rogers High School.
A gifted singer and dancer, Sharon's beautiful voice graced many venues throughout her life. She sang faithfully at the First Church of God and performed with various quartet groups, including the cherished Richerson Quartet alongside her mother Myrtle, father Willis, and brother Neil Richerson.
In 1974, Sharon discovered a passion for square dancing that would change her life. She met her beloved husband, Kenny Bourne, on New Year's Eve on January 1975 through the "Swingin' Singles" square dance club. The couple married on November 8, 1975, at Eastwood Baptist Church, with Pastor Tom Elliff officiating.
Sharon built a distinguished career as supervisor of records in the Geology Department at Amoco, where she worked for over 20 years. She later became a successful Party Lite Candle Sales consultant, hosting countless parties and setting up at numerous shows with Kenny. Her exceptional sales skills earned the couple multiple incentive trips to destinations including the Bahamas and Las Vegas. She was known for her natural gift for connecting with people.
Those who knew Sharon would describe her as loving, caring, witty, godly, and at times, appropriately demanding. She was widely recognized as a prayer warrior who faithfully interceded for family, friends, and community. Sharon was decisive and always knew what she wanted, approaching life with purpose and conviction.
Sharon is survived by her sons, Mark Davidson and his wife Heather, and Christopher Bourne and his wife Sheryl; her grandchildren, Presley Grace Davidson, Ryker Borror and his wife Lena, and Chief Bourne; and one great-grandchild, Lylian Borror.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenny; her parents, Willis and Myrtle Richerson, and her brother, Neil Alan Richerson.
