Roy William Witz, Jr. passed away Friday, April 10, 2020, at his home in Bixby. Cremation arrangements are entrusted to Bixby Funeral Service.Born June 18, 1939, in Chicago, Illinois, Roy was the son of Roy William Sr. and Gertrude (Zimmanck) Witz. He was raised in Chicago and later attended St. John’s Military Academy in Wisconsin. Upon graduation Roy was an electrician for his family's electrical construction company, Continental Electric, in Chicago. However, his true passion was to work in the luxury automobile business. Roy owned and operated Continental Imports in Joplin, Missouri. His company specialized in Porsche, Mercedes-Benz, and Audi brands. Roy would eventually gain employment with Jackie Cooper Imports in Tulsa, where his knowledge of Porsche was valued for over 18 years. Roy was witty, smart, and his customers loved him. Not only was Roy a great sales professional, but he could also take a Mercedes apart and put it back together. Cars were Roy’s thing, and everybody that loved him knew it! Surviving family members include his wife, Erika Witz; his children: Greg Witz and wife, Linda, Francis Witz, and Gail Witz; his stepdaughter, Connie Hilton-Kirkham; 13 grandchildren; and his sister, Susie Gately.Roy was preceded in death by his parents; and his brothers, Jack and Jim Witz.
