Ronald Wayne Hill's Obituary
Services to honor and remember Ronald Wayne "Ronnie" Hill will be Wednesday, April 29, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at Life.Church South Tulsa - 7071 East 121st St. South, Bixby, OK 74008. Ronnie passed from this life on April 16, 2026.
Born in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and raised in both Bixby and Ponca City, where he graduated high school, Ronnie was the son of George Ronald Hill and Carolyn (Denham) Hill. He was also welcomed by his older brothers, Scott and Michael.
Ronnie showed an early talent for athletics, especially tennis. He became a State Champion and, for a time, was ranked #1 in men's tennis in Oklahoma. He attended Oklahoma State University and Northeastern State University and spent summers teaching at tennis camps in New Hampshire.
He built a successful career with Best Buy, where he worked for more than 27 years and rose to the role of Vice President of Services.
Ronnie enjoyed bringing people together and creating spaces where family and friends could gather and have a good time-often near the lake, river, or beach. Adventurous and naturally athletic, he loved water skiing, snow skiing, and golf.
He will be remembered for his strong personality, sense of humor, and the way he connected with those around him. He loved music-especially Dave Matthews Band, Rush, and Coldplay-and enjoyed sharing those interests with his children. He stayed connected with lifelong friends and was known for his loyalty and protective nature.
Above all, Ronnie loved his children. He supported them in their activities, listened well, and took pride in being their dad.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Laci Hill; his father, George Hill; his mother-in-law, Linda Griffin; and his brother-in-law, Larry Ron Griffin.
Ronnie is survived by his children, Haylie Hill and Hudson Hill; the mother of his children and his wife of 19 years, Jennifer Hill; his brothers, Scott Hill and wife Mary, and Michael Hill; his mother, Carolyn Hill; his former father-in-law, Larry Griffin-whom he regarded as a father-and his wife, Diane; along with numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and many friends.
