Dr. Bob, as he was known, was a fine physician and longtime friend of mine. Bob and I first met at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey School of Osteopathic Medicine where we were both on the faculty. We both relocated to Tulsa and the Oklahoma State University College of Osteopathic medicine where he taught pathology, and where I served as the Dean.We spent a lot of time together telling stories - as old friends do. I wasn’t all that close to my grandfather, and we didn’t speak regularly but the smell of tobacco still brings be back to when I would give my grandpa hugs and he would have his pipe smell on his coat. I can hear the sound of his voice saying “love you sweetie” when we would say our goodbyes on the phone. He was the reason I got into wanting to pursue and then obtained a degree in criminology. I would hear his intriguing stories of the autopsies he would preform and needed to understand why people would commit such horrible crimes. Thank you for being that driving force! Grandpa, Jeremy and I love you so much! And wish we would have been able to see you in San Francisco one last time ❤️
