Robert Boucher's Obituary
Robert G. "Bob" Boucher was born April 6, 1943, in Woodberry, New Jersey, to George Boucher and Dorothy (Bothner) Boucher. He was raised in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, where he graduated from high school and enjoyed playing football.
After graduation, Bob proudly served in the Army National Guard, stationed at Fort Polk, Louisiana. He served as Light Weapons Infantry and earned recognition as a Marksman (M-1 Rifle). Bob carried a strong work ethic throughout his life, working in plumbing sales before beginning a career as a truck driver for Spectrum Paint.
Bob married Louise (Butler) on November 29, 2008. The two met through mutual friends at a 50th anniversary celebration-an introduction that grew into a devoted and joyful partnership. Together, they were passionate Tulsa Master Gardeners of the OSU Extension, class of 2011, and spent countless hours volunteering. Louise often joked that Bob didn't just mow the lawn-he manicured it. He took great pride in his yard and especially loved hosting family and friends, creating many cherished memories.
Bob was a proud and dedicated member of the Broken Arrow Masonic Lodge Number 243, where he served as Worshipful Master. He was a member of the Scottish Rite. He was a member at Akdar Shrine. Bob loved being a clown with the Merri-Makers and driving mini cars. He became well-known for warming up the crowds at the Akdar Shrine circuses as the clown "Hi, I'm Bob." Bob was a Perpetual Member of the Martha Daylight Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star and served as Past Patron. He also was Broken Arrow Rainbow Dad for Rainbow Girls.
A true NASCAR fan, Bob enjoyed attending races with his brother and best friend, John. Their trips-especially their many visits to Talladega-were among the experiences he looked forward to most.
In his later years, Bob remained active while living at Southern Hills Independent Senior Living Community, where he formed many meaningful friendships and enjoyed participating in activities. He was known there for his happy spirit, energetic personality, and playful sense of humor. He loved to tease and to be teased in return.
Bob passed away on April 8, 2026.
He is survived by his wife of 17 years, Louise Boucher; his brother, John Boucher; his children Brandi Smith, Debbie Ashworth and husband John, Jarrett Thompson, and Rene Talley and husband Rich. Bob and Louise were blessed with 10 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
Bob was preceded in death by his son, Tony Boucher.
