Retha was my friend. We would meet for soup and a sandwich and talk. Retha was caring. A good listener, a wise counselor. She was so in love with Jesus and had dreams about his soon return. I know she is in great and wonderful place and her beautiful eyes and smile are a thousand times more beautiful where she is now. But there is a whole in my heart for her. She was full of life and vitality. It's hard to believe she's not here. I feel for her family because I know they feel the loss of their dear mother, and grandmother who communicated with them so freely. May God comfort all of you at this time.

I met Retha at the home of her son Randall and daughter-in-law Lori in Tulsa, Ok. Her pleasant demeanor and caring speech proved an encounter and association with the King of Kings. Only from the infilling of the Spirit of God can a person have the radiance she shared that day. Our conversation led to remembrance, a mutual friend from Indiana, Walter Kronberg, who in his tent meeting had stopped short in his prayer for my brothers' healing to announce, "You've already got it! Next, please." The next day my brother was taken off the medications he was on and told he could return to grade school. Years later he served in the Army and graduated second, physically, in his company. The power of God was manifested in the life of my brother through the prayer of His servant. Before a healing meeting, brother Kronberg would humbly spend many days in prayer and fasting for the Holy Spirit to freely use him for preaching, and praying for the sick. This was only one, of the kind of people, with which sister Holmes was associated. Her ministry will powerfully live on in the family and friends who love her. She has truly transitioned to the presence of our Lord.
