Randy Eugene Armstrong's Obituary
Randy Armstrong Obituary
Randy Eugene Armstrong was born September 29, 1956 in Coffeyville, KS to Larry and Jane Armstrong. He passed away peacefully on January 17, 2022 at his home in Broken Arrow, OK., after a courageous battle with cancer. Randy graduated from East Newton High School in Granby, MO in 1974, where he excelled in academics, football and basketball. He attended the University of Missouri at Rolla and spent his life as a CNC programmer and machinist, retiring in 2020. He married Becky Hildebrand on June 4, 1977 in Diamond, MO and they moved to the Tulsa area where they lived their life and raised their family.
In addition to his parents and wife, Becky, he is survived by his daughter, Mandy Armstrong (and friend, Alex Nystel) of Tulsa, OK and his son, Lance Armstrong (and wife, Lauren) of Fort Washington, Maryland. He also leaves behind young grandsons, Tiberius and Gideon who dearly loved their “Pops”.
Also surviving are brother, Larry Wayne Armstrong (Cindy) of Broken Arrow, OK; his sister, Kelly Mishler (Rick) of Locust Grove, OK; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Laurie and Gene Delano of Loma Linda, MO; traveling friends, Charles and Norma Venable of Neosho, MO and eight nieces and nephews.
Randy was an ardent (and sometimes obnoxious) Oklahoma fan, cheering on the Sooners in football and basketball. He was also a proud member of the Cherokee nation. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, January 22 at 1:00 p.m., at Rivercrest Chapel and Event Center in Bixby, OK. Memorial contributions can be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, 1050 N. Post Oak Road, Ste. 240, Houston, TX 77055 or at the following link:
