Polly Jean Middleton's Obituary
Polly Jean Middleton was born January 15th, 1942 in Holdenville, Oklahoma to Pauline (Polly Sr.) and Ross L. Middleton.
The family moved to Earth, Texas when Polly was in Junior High. She graduated from Springlake High School in 1960. She attended college in Gulf Park, Mississippi. Polly later attended Hardin Simmons University in Abilene, Texas.
Polly moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma in 1965 and found successful careers while working for Sun Oil and First National Bank. Her favorite job was found working at the Tulsa County Tax Assessors office, where she worked for 25 years. She retired from there in 2008, and found some new loves when she began playing golf, traveling with friends, and entering the world of RV'ing.
Polly is survived by her brother, Phil, of Midland, Texas; two nieces, Keri and her husband Scott Douglas of Lakewood, Colorado, and Amber Sue and husband Clint Huff of Austin, Texas. Three great nephews, and two great nieces, an Aunt Janis, and her husband, Gene of Ramson Canyon, Texas, and many cousins, as well as many special friends including her most precious group of friend, the Holy Hags.
Preceding Polly in death were her parents, Ross and Polly Middleton.
Funeral service will be held on November 14th, 2024 at 10am at Evergreen Baptist Church in Tulsa, Oklahoma where she was an active covenant member. A graveside service will be held at the Holdenville Cemetery in Holdenville at 3pm later that afternoon.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in her name to the Evergreen Church Building Fund and/or Evergreen Academy.
