I am Alison Gridley my mum was Rhoda Anne Lever nee Edwards and was the daughter of Annie and Harold Edwards from Bradley about 2 miles from Skipton.Mum was Peters cousin and i heard from mum how Peter taught her how toride a bike.i was lucky enough to meet Peter i think i was about 9 years old he came over with his family and we had a lovely time .God bless you Peter Maureen Stephen and Micheal we always remembered you xxxx
One couldn't have asked for better neighbors than Pete and Maureen. They loved the Lord and lived well.
Deepest condolences. Peter and Maureen were much loved and missed in the UK. Peter was a spiritual guide to myself and many others. A man who I will always be deeply grateful to and miss dearly.

Peter Maroney was born in Skipton, Yorkshire and married Maureen Ellen Cross from Hull, Yorkshire. They emigrated to America and raised two sons who sadly pre-deceased them.
Peter was instrumental in bringing Soccer to Bixby in the early 70’s. All the players that have played in the years since have benefited by his hard work and dedication. Most recently Peter and Maurine were members of the Silver Sneakers class at Dickinson YMCA. We all loved it when Peter would sing along with the music and he would sometimes dance with one of the ladies in the class. He will be missed by all of us.
