Too my loving Sister Peggy .7-29-23
I remember,one summer day Peggy and I walk down too a girlfriend of her's and she was known to cut some of her family's hair. So she cut my Sister's hair first and turned out ok . Then came my turn ,and mind you I had long hair at the time .So she began too cut and my Sister wanted to join in and by the time it was done ,I had what they used too call a Buster Brown Haircut, Its like they use too put a bowl on your head and cut around it. When we got home my Momma did'nt say anything ,But that 4th Grade School year I had my Photo taken with that haircut. I laugh too day looking back at the memory .She was always wanting too try new things .Too My Loving Sister Peggy you gave me many memories like that .We were playmates only 2years apart. Will miss you forever but not forgotten 7-1923by me .7-19-23
You look at her Photo and you can see the twinkle in her eyes ,like She's ready too have some fun . And growing uo with her She would give me and our little brother rides on the bike ,we were too little too ride it ,so she gave us rides on the bike. My Sister Peggy was full of life.She taught me how too dance in the 1950's. We went one day to a Girlfriend's House and She Cut my Sister's Hair ,I was next and I had long Hair and Peggy wanted too learn how too cut Hair so she join in on my Haircut when it was done ,I came home with what they use too call a Buster Brown or a Bowl cut where People put a bowl on the kid's head and cut around it.I had too take my fourth grade school Photo looking like that. Our Momma said nothing about it ,but it makes me laugh today. I will miss her very much ,when she laugh it was so full of joy and you new who it was if you were not in the room with her.She was very interested in everything and wanted too try it at least once. I'll miss you Peggy and I will never forget the fun times we had together-We were playmates.Your loving Sister-Laverne 7-19-23
