Patrick Harold Lahmeyer's Obituary
In Loving Memory of Patrick H. Lahmeyer
November 28, 1952 - August 20, 2025
Patrick H. Lahmeyer sailed his boat under the rainbow bridge on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, at 4:00 a.m., successfully reaching the other shore.
Born on November 28, 1952, Pat was welcomed into the Lahmeyer family by his parents, Thomas Harold and Anna Rosa Lee Lahmeyer. From his earliest days, Pat showed a natural courage and loyalty-always stepping in to defend anyone in need. That spirit of protection carried into his adult life, where he served proudly in the U.S. Army as a tank mechanic and later as a platoon leader. Pat embodied strength, loyalty, and devotion to others, saving many from danger and certain death.
After his service, Pat returned to Tulsa to work in the family foundry, contributing to high-precision parts used by NASA and other vital industries. His hands, however, found their truest calling in fine craftsmanship. A master cabinet maker, Pat founded Innovative Creations, a kitchen remodeling business in downtown Tulsa, where his artistry touched countless homes. Later, he worked at the St. Francis Warren complex until his retirement in 2019.
Pat's life was never defined by work alone-it was an adventure filled with sailing, fishing, cooking, and mastery of the backyard grill. He organized Caribbean cruises, hosted legendary volleyball tournaments, and threw unforgettable "Joke" parties that kept friends laughing for weeks. His adventurous spirit carried him into every corner of Tulsa life-River Parks, Oktoberfest, hot air ballooning, Cain's Ballroom, and the Brady Theater.
He was recognized everywhere for his wild eyebrows, his long, multicolored ponytail, and his contagious joy for life. Pat had a way of turning simple moments into celebrations. He often reminded those around him: "Make sure you have fun today!"-a philosophy he lived long before "Life is Good" became a phrase.
Pat is survived by his wife, Dian Dickson Lyttel; his stepchildren, Ian Dylan Henry and Kerstin Henry; his beloved grandchildren, Jasper Hills, Tristan Hills, Rick Hills, and Lily Heritage; and his step-sister, Debbie Samson.
Pat leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, craftsmanship, and courage. Today, as we gather to celebrate his life, we carry with us the stories, the smiles, and the encouragement he gave so freely. His journey continues in every memory we hold and in every joyful moment we choose to embrace.
