Making their home in Jenks, Sue attended Jenks schools where she became a high school graduate. Upon graduation, she moved to Florida where she pursued a career as an airline stewardess. Eventually, she returned to Tulsa where she married. Sue and her husband started the family owned company Amaro Heating and Air. For over 35 years she helped grow the company as co-owner. Sue's greatest accomplishment was becoming a mom. She loved taking care of her boys, Chris and Mark. She was very involved with their activities and was an active participant with the Union Soccer Club and the PTA. As Chris and Mark got older, Sue rediscovered her love for photography, in doing so she worked as a sports photographer covering the Tulsa Roughnecks. Sue loved to tend to her rose garden, and became quite the karaoke singer. A selfless woman, Sue was always willing to help those in need whether it was preparing a meal or offering a prayer. She would often bring comfort to those by sharing her favorite Scriptures, 1 Peter 2:24 and 2 Corinthians 5:8-9. Sue enjoyed attending church at Eastland Assembly of God and Son Rise Family Fellowship. Sue passed away May 22, 2018 in Broken Arrow at the age of 73. This loving mother, grandmother and sister will be greatly missed. She is survived by her sons, Chris Amaro and Mark Amaro; sisters, Linda Raiden and Patsy Stallsworth; brothers, Gerald McElroy and Dean McElroy; 5 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; along with several nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives.
