Patricia Honeycutt's Obituary
Patricia Ann Honeycutt, known as Pat to most, was born on October 13, 1955, in Pratt, Kansas. She was the first child and only daughter of Robert and Janice Clift, later becoming the big sister-and, let's be honest, the boss-to her four younger brothers: Robert Jr., David, Timothy, and Michael. Though she spent some of her early years in Kansas, it was in Minnesota where she made many of her fondest memories - like performing in the school band and especially those spent outdoors snowmobiling and enjoying time with her family.
Pat had a strong spirit and a determined nature, which served her well in every stage of life. She started her working years as a truck driver, an adventure that ultimately led her to her greatest role-motherhood. She then dedicated herself to raising her children, Michael, Becky, and Ann, and she did so with both love and a watchful eye. Running a home daycare allowed her to care for not only her own kids but also many others who came through her doors over the years. As her children grew older, she began a career as a waitress at Mark's Place where she brought joy to the customers she served. In addition, Pat was a Girl Scout leader, a crafter, and a woman who put her energy into whatever she loved.
With a natural warmth and a larger-than-life personality, Pat spoke her mind-sometimes without a filter-but that was part of her charm. People were drawn to her, and her home was always full of friends, laughter, and conversation. Whether she was working on crossword puzzles, watching her favorite soap operas, or creating beautiful handmade crafts with her mother, she found joy in life's simple pleasures.
Pat's passing, after a long illness, still feels too soon. She leaves behind a loving family who will carry her memory forward: her children-Michael and his wife, Julie; Rebecca and her husband, Chad; Ann Marie and her husband, Rickey; and her beloved grandchildren-Claire, Bentley, Alexander, Knox, Liam, Taryn, Morgan, and Emma. She is also survived by her brothers, Robert Jr., David, Timothy, and Michael. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Janice.
Though we grieve her loss, we also give thanks for the time we had with her. May we honor her by sharing stories, laughter, and love-just as she did throughout her life.
