Norma Jeanneanne Nicholson(Schmidt)'s Obituary
Norma Jeanneane Nicholson was born on September 3, 1932 in Ponca City, Oklahoma. She passed away at home with her husband by her side, and surrounded by family, in Bixby, Oklahoma on July 23, 2026, at the age of 93.
Norma's life was shaped by faith, family, and generosity. She was a faithful member of North Heights Church of Christ in Bixby, Oklahoma where she was a caretaker and bible school teacher. She worked for 25 years for Weight Watchers managing membership and meetings. Norma was a generous homemaker, an avid gardener, and her baked goods were always a treasure.
Norma is survived by her husband of 76 years, Ira Everett Nicholson; her children; daughter Linda Hunt and her husband Michael Hunt; her son Steve Nicholson and his wife Lisa Nicholson; her son Sam Nicholson and his wife Pennie Nicholson; and, their children, grandchildren, and extended family.
Norma was preceded in death by her parents Levi and Thurra Schmidt, her sisters, Doris and Velma, and her son John Nicholson.
