Norma Joyce Martin's Obituary
Norma Joyce Martin, affectionately known as Joyce, passed away at the age of 92, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on April 4, 1932, near White Cloud, Kansas, right on the Kansas and Nebraska state line, to Leonard and Irene (Watts) Fee.
Joyce graduated from Hastings Institute high school and went on to build a fulfilling life centered around family, faith, and hard work. She was married to Lloyd Martin, until his passing in 2008.
She had three sons: Harold McGinnis, Greg Martin, and Michael Martin.
Joyce devoted 35 years to J.C. Penney, where she retired with a legacy of dedication and excellence. Outside of her work, she was a devoted Kansas City Chiefs fan, never missing a game and always staying in the loop about her favorite players, including Travis Kelce. Joyce even kept up with the latest buzz about Travis and Taylor, proving her youthful spirit and sense of humor.
A woman of faith, Joyce was a member of Chandler Road Church of Christ in Muskogee, Oklahoma. She found joy and strength in her church community and her relationship with God.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Leonard and Irene Fee; her brother, Dwight Fee; and her husband, Lloyd Martin.
Joyce leaves behind a large and loving family to cherish her memory:
Her son, Harold McGinnis, of Phoenix, Arizona.
Her son, Greg Martin, and his wife, Kim, of Muskogee, along with their children, Jonathan Martin, Amanda Tucker, Melissa Martin, Ryan Martin, Zachary Martin, and Karley Page.
Her son, Michael Martin, of Muskogee, and his children, Ashley Martin, Matthew Martin, Harley Martin, Gabriel Martin, and Ava Martin.
A host of great-grandchildren, nephews, and dear friends who brought immense joy to her life.
Joyce will be remembered for her kind spirit, unwavering faith, and deep love for her family. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
A service celebrating Joyce's life will be held on Saturday, January 4, 2025, from 11:00AM to 12:00PM, at the Arrowhead Mall, 501 North Main Street, Muskogee, OK, 74401, in front of the former J.C. Penney store-a fitting tribute to her dedication and legacy.
