Mona Kay Sneed's Obituary
Mona Kay Sneed, 78, passed away peacefully Monday afternoon, August 25, 2025, at her Country Club of Woodland Hills residence in Tulsa.
Born December 26, 1946, in Collinsville, Kay was the beloved daughter of Arley Francis and Georgia Lois Cargill (Mount).
Kay went to Collinsville schools and went on to work in Tulsa in the corporate world.Throughout her professional career, Kay worked for Citgo Petroleum in the payroll department for many years, where she was valued for her dedication and warm spirit.
She later pursued her entrepreneurial passion by owning and operating Kay's Victorian Treasures in Jenks, a reflection of her love for beautiful antiques and collectibles.
Kay's life took a beautiful turn when she found true love during a visit to the Boyds Bear store in Jenks, Oklahoma, where she met Richard Lee "Rick" Sneed. Their love story culminated in marriage on May 15, 2004, at the charming Hansel and Gretel Park in Carthage. Rick and Kay shared an extraordinary bond, never having an argument during their 16 years of marriage-a testament to their deep love and mutual respect.
Kay had a creative soul and found immense joy in crafting and anything Victorian. Her artistic talents were evident throughout her home, which was filled with her handmade creations and numerous collectibles that she treasured over the years.
She had a special place in her heart for dogs, particularly her beloved Shih Tzus, including her cherished companion Wheezer, who brought her endless joy and comfort.
Faith was the cornerstone of Kay's life. She was a devoted Christian her entire life, and her unwavering faith provided strength and guidance not only to herself but also to all those around her.
Kay is survived by her loving son, Scotty Bunch, and his wife Susan; her grandchildren, Dakota Bunch and Sara Polanca and family; Cindy Riddle, daughter-in-law, grandsons Zachary and Ethan, her dear niece Sandy Bond and her husband Doug, Abbey Hodges and family, Matt Bond and Evan Bond.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Arley Francis and Georgia Lois Cargill (Mount); her beloved husband Rick, her beloved son, Kevin and her sister Brenda Harrison.
Kay's legacy lives on in the hearts of her family and friends, who will forever remember her kindness, creativity, feistiness and the unconditional love she shared so generously. Her memory will be treasured by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Service Information: A service to honor Kay's life will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, September 8, in the Parlor Room of Bixby-South Tulsa Funeral Service.
