Michael Saitas' Obituary
Michael Saitas, 84, of Tulsa, OK, passed away on August 23, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. Born on December 1, 1939, in Manchester, NH, to Cosmas and Katherine Saitas, he was the youngest of ten siblings. He is survived by his wife, Christine Saitas; children Gregory Saitas, Matthew Saitas (Kelli), and Elizabeth Gaydou (Danny); and grandchildren, Adelyn and Lilianna Gaydou and Luke Saitas.
Michael was proud to have served his country in the United States Army. He graduated from the University of New Hampshire, received a Master's Degree from Keene State College and had a respected career as a teacher/administrator at Parkside Jr High, Beech Street School and Faith Christian Academy in Bedford. He also built houses as McGem Builders in Bedford. Michael, and his wife of 54 years, Christine, lived in the Manchester and Bedford area until 1999 when they felt God leading them to attend Victory Bible Institute in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Later, Michael began remodeling homes in Tulsa for the next 20 years with his two sons.
Michael was a humble man after God's heart. His experience with God's love allowed him to display affection to his family and friends that brought joy, peace and comfort to everyone. In his last four years, he spent a lot of time with his grandson, Luke, which brought him much joy. In celebrating his life, we fondly remember his infectious laughter, sense of humor, warm hugs and joyful singing.
There will be a private family gathering. There will be no calling hours. Contributions can be made in Michael's memory to NorthPointe Christian Schools, 3101 Leonard Street NE, Grand Rapids, MI 49525 where his granddaughters attend school.
