Services to honor and remember the life of Michael Eugene "Mike" Knutsen will be 1 PM Friday, June 22, 2018 at Ft. Gibson National Cemetery with Lee Leatherman officiating. Mike passed away on Monday, June 18, 2018 in Tulsa. He was 77. He is survived by his wife, Linda Knutsen of Bixby, OK, his son Michael Knutsen of Ft. Campbell, KY, his son Bryan Knutsen of Clinton, IA, his daughter Kelly Rhodes of Atlanta, GA and daughter Tia Smith of Bixby, OK. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. In his early years, Mike worked for Clinton Corn in Iowa as a welder and was a motorcycle enthusiast. When he moved to Oklahoma, a love for horses developed and you could often find him and Linda at the Allen Ranch riding or working. His other passion was Nascar, and specifically the driver Dale Earnhardt. He enjoyed a 28-year career in Oklahoma as a salesman for Tifco Industries.Mike served in the Army and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. He was very proud when his son Michael Knutsen and grandson Garrett Knutsen opted to join the Army. Both are currently serving on active duty in Ft. Campbell, KY and Ft.
