Michael Aaron Dotson, 75, of Tulsa, Oklahoma, passed away on June 3, 2026. He was born on May 8, 1951, in Santa Monica, California.
Michael lived a life marked by faith, family, friendship, and service to others. He was a proud graduate of Hominy High School and later attended Southwestern Oklahoma State University, where he earned his Doctor of Pharmacy degree. His dedication to helping others led him to a distinguished career in pharmacy, serving as Director of Reasor’s Pharmacy before becoming co-owner of Freeland Brown Pharmacy. Throughout his professional life, Michael was respected for his leadership, integrity, and commitment to the pharmacy profession.
His contributions earned him numerous honors, including being named Pharmacist of the Year and receiving a PharmPAC Certificate of Appreciation for his efforts to improve and protect the profession he loved. He was actively involved in several organizations, including the Oklahoma Pharmacists Association, Southwestern Pharmacy Alumni Association, Indian Springs Country Club, and Phi Delta Chi Fraternity.
While Michael found success in his career, his greatest joy was his family. His world revolved around those he loved. He cherished family vacations to the beach, snow skiing trips, and countless adventures to Walt Disney World. A devoted sports fan, Michael enjoyed OU football, TU basketball, and cheering on his beloved Dallas Cowboys. More than anything, however, he loved supporting his family, especially attending the sporting events of his grandchildren.
Michael was known for his larger-than-life personality. He never met a stranger, loved to laugh, and brought energy and excitement wherever he went. His outlook on life could be summed up in his favorite philosophy: “Go big or go home.” To know Michael was to love him. His infectious spirit, sense of humor, and genuine care for others left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him.
Above all else, Michael loved the Lord with all his heart. His faith was the foundation of his life, and he desired for others to know the hope and joy found in a relationship with Christ. He gave glory to God in all things and found his greatest fulfillment in his faith and his family.
Michael leaves behind a legacy of faith, love, and living life to its fullest. He encouraged those around him to work hard, play hard, prioritize family, and place their trust in their Heavenly Father. His passion for life and unwavering devotion to those he loved will be remembered always.
He is survived by his daughter, Lori Dalton and husband Robert Dalton; granddaughter, Abbey Dalton; grandson, Dayton Dalton and wife Allyson Dalton; great-granddaughter, Harper Dalton; brother, Tom Dotson and wife Sonnie Dotson; former wife, Vicki Morgan and her family; along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and many cherished friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Aron Winston Dotson; his mother, Ruth Ayne Miller; his sister, Debbie Plunkett; and many other beloved family members and friends who welcomed him into eternal life.
A celebration of Michael’s life will be held at 11am Saturday, June 13, 2026, at Rivercrest Chapel and Event Center, Bixby. His family finds comfort in knowing that he is now in the presence of his Lord and Savior and reunited with loved ones who have gone before him.
