Marshall Lynn White's Obituary
Marshall Lynn White, 77, passed away unexpectedly on June 20, 2026, at Fort Gibson Lake - a place he loved dearly and called his second home. He was born January 20, 1949, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to Lynn Howard and Minnie Cora (Pregler) White.
Marshall was a proud graduate of Jenks High School, Class of 1967, where he played football and was active in FFA and 4-H. After high school, he was drafted into the United States Army. After his military service, Marshall built a rich and varied career as a welder and heavy equipment operator. In the 1980s, he had his own successful business, White's Fabricating. He also earned an Associate's degree in Engineering Technology/Welding Technology from Tulsa Community College and went on to serve as an instructor.
In the late 1980s, Marshall discovered a new passion on the water - racing jet boats. Sponsored by Jiffy Lube, he competed with skill and enthusiasm, becoming a familiar and respected presence in the racing community and within the CSDBA (Central States Drag Boat Association). Whether it was racing, fishing, or simply being out on the water, Marshall was most at home on a lake. From an early age, he had a boat and spent countless hours at Keystone Lake and Fort Gibson Lake - eventually becoming a proud and beloved member of the "Fort Gibson Lake Junkies."
An avid gardener his entire life, Marshall grew tomatoes and okra every season, and this year he excitedly added squash and zucchini to his garden. He was a man of simple, genuine pleasures - the water, the soil, and the rumble of a good engine.
Marshall is survived by his daughter, Kandee Keeling and her husband Sean; his grandchildren, Michael, Dominick, Logan, and Gabriel; and the many friends and lake family who knew him well.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Vera Sandridge.
Marshall Lynn White worked hard, loved freely, and lived fully. He will be deeply missed by all those who have had the privilege of knowing him.
