Madanelle Kirk, 87, of Broken Arrow, OK, passed away peacefully on April 29, 2025, in Denver, CO.
A beloved mother, wife and friend, Madanelle's sweet and gentle spirit touched many lives. Born in Sallisaw, OK, Madanelle was raised on the Garvin cattle ranch. She met her future husband, Gerald Kirk, while attending Northeasten State University. After graduating from Northwest Missouri State University with a master's degree in education, Madanelle taught elementary school for over three decades. She loved children and volunteered with Oklahoma Baptist Homes for Children for many years. An avid gardener, her flower garden was the envy of many.
Madanelle took great joy and pride in her family. She is survived by her children Lisa Putt (Kevin) of Edmond, OK, Tammy Spencer (Robert) of Denver, CO, and two grandchildren Matthew Kirk Spencer of New Haven, CT and Madeline Rose Spencer of St. Louis, MO.
Visitation will be held Thursday, May 8, from 6 - 8pm at Bixby Funeral Services. Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 12, at 10am at South Tulsa Baptist Church.
