Lori McClure Reeves' Obituary
Lori McClure Reeves passed away peacefully on Friday afternoon, July 10, 2026, at her residence in Tulsa. She was 67 years old.
Lori was born August 7, 1968, in Huntington Park, California, the daughter of William and Martha (Capener) McClure. She moved to Tulsa at the age of fourteen and attended East Central High School, where she was a member of the debate and later assisted her sister in debate. She went on to graduate from Central State University through Oklahoma Christian, having begun her studies at OCC through a concurrent enrollment program.
It was at the East Side Church of Christ while attending East Central that Lori first met Tandy. Years later the two reunited, and they were married on September 29, 1989. They went on to become longtime members of Park Church of Christ, where Lori found great joy in teaching Sunday School to the grade school children.
Lori dedicated 40 years to nursing, touching lives through nearly every facet of the profession. She spent 15 years in hospice care, including serving as a care guidance nurse for Saint Francis. Over the course of her career, she also worked as a nurse at Laureate Psychiatric Hospital, served as a cardiac admit/discharge nurse, worked in care planning, and served as Director of Nursing for Tulsa Jewish. Wherever she went, Lori was known as a wonderful nurse - kind, compassionate, and deeply devoted to those in her care.
Outside of work, Lori was delighted in her Bunco group and an avid reader of nearly everything, with the Harry Potter series among her favorites and the Lord of the Rings holding a special place as her all-time favorite. She poured herself into whatever her daughters were passionate about, and for many years the family was deeply immersed in women's fastpitch softball together. Above all, those who knew Lori would describe her as smart, kind, compassionate, loving, and always smiling.
Lori is survived by her husband, Tandy Reeves; her children, Justin Reeves and wife Taya, Amy Howe and husband Edmund, Lauren Cuddy and husband Brandon, and Tori Reeves; her grandchildren, Hudson, Harvey, Jude, Gray, and Cal; her siblings, Julie Simms, Sylvia Prentice, Billy McClure, and April Smith; and a loving extended family.
Lori will be remembered for the countless lives she touched through her decades of nursing, her boundless love for her family, and the warmth and joy she brought to everyone around her.
