Lindsey Lee Couri's Obituary
Lindsey Lee Couri, a devoted child care worker and loved family member, passed away peacefully December 24, 2025 at Clarehouse. She was 41 years old.
A graduate of Union High School, Lindsey continued her education at Tulsa Junior College.
Lindsey was born on September 23, 1984, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to Rick Couri and the late Teresa Jean (Lacy) Couri. Throughout her career, she worked with Union Public Schools in their extended day program. There she found her true calling working with children, particularly those with special needs. Her colleagues and the children she cared for were always a source of joy and pride.
She is survived by her father, Rick Couri, and stepmother Christine; her brother Kelly Couri; her sister Delaney Catalina Couri; sister-in-law Jill Couri; nieces Hayden Couri and Hannah Couri; grandfather Jerry Arp and wife, Mary Lynn of Tulsa, grandparents, Paul and Carlene Stiegler; aunts and uncles Laura and Brad Edwards, Patricia and Richard Lacy, Paul and Dasia Stiegler, Phillip and Tavia Stiegler; and several cousins.
Lindsey was preceded in death by her mother, Teresa Jean Couri; grandmothers Gail Arp and Billie Lacy; and grandfather Charles Lacy.
Family was the cornerstone of Lindsey's life. She never missed a chance to brag about her brother, sister, and nieces, Hayden and Hannah. Her love knew no bounds, often sending surprise gifts to her nieces. She also loved buying birthday and Christmas presents for her family.
A celebration of life honoring Lindsey will be held 2 PM Tuesday, December 30, 2025 at Faith United Methodist Church. The interment will be a private service at Memorial Park Cemetery.
Lindsey will be remembered for her compassionate spirit, her dedication to children, and her profound love for her family. She touched countless lives through her work and her relationships, leaving behind a legacy of care, love, and commitment.
