Linda Harris Obituary
A graveside ceremony honoring Linda Dianne Harris will be held 10:30 AM Saturday, October 22, 2022 in the Bixby Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 6-8 PM Friday at Bixby-South Tulsa Funeral Service. Linda passed away at her home in Coal City, Illinois October 15, 2022. She was 71 years of age.
Linda was born August 16, 1951 in Seattle, Washington. She and her family moved to Oklahoma at an early age where she attended school at Liberty Mounds. Linda married Dennis Harris, the love of her life, on July 3, 1970 in Bixby. The couple spent 38 wonderful years together.
Linda enjoyed fishing, camping, quilting, and taking care of her rose garden. She loved baking, especially her variety of wonderful treats throughout the holiday season. Everyone was always welcome at Linda’s home.
Linda was preceded in death by her husband Dennis Harris of 38 years, her father Robert John Blair, her mother Lillie May Sherman, her Stepfather Gerald (Jerry) Sherman; her siblings Joann Armstrong, John Robert Blair, Rusty Blair, Lilly Ruth Blair, Wanetta Barrows, Steven Blair and Patricia Curlee; and her foster children, George Kinney and Cathy Harris.
Linda was survived by two sisters, Sue Pence and Beverly Barrows; her children, Dianna Delcoure of Tulsa, Oklahoma; Delbert Delcoure, III of Muskogee, Oklahoma, Mike and Rhonda Dotterer of Minonk, Illinois; Dennis Harris, Jr. Of Coal City, Illinois; Christy Parker of Tulsa, Oklahoma; and Ruthann Petrov of Morton, Illinois; her grandchildren Steven Delcoure and Amanda Snyder: Kassi Delcoure and Steve Spiegel, Brittany Delcoure and Joel Stamps, Del Durossette, Merinda Bailey and Chet Hudgens, Dalton Knoche and Kelsey Hawes, Tiffany Knoche, Dillon Harris and Elissa Kester, Luke Harris, Laura Harris, Colt Harris, Jayne Harris, Jayme Harris, Candy Shaw, Max Petrov, Gage Petrov, Malachi Petrov, Grace Petrov, Jackson Petrov, Belle Petrov, many great grandchildren and a great-great grandchildren many nieces, nephews and other extended family.
Viewing Friday, October 21, 2022 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 PM at Bixby-South Tulsa Funeral Home, 13307 S. Memorial Dr., Bixby, OK. Graveside Service Saturday, October 22, 2022 at 10:30 AM at Bixby Cemetery. Family gathering for lunch at Speedy's in Glenpool.
