Lester Taylor Obituary
In Loving Memory of Lester Clark "Buzz" Taylor, Jr.
Lester Clark "Buzz" Taylor, Jr. was born on December 26, 1952, in Kansas City, Kansas, to proud parents Lester Clark Taylor, Sr. and Irma Taylor (Trowbridge). He spent his formative years in Kansas City, where he graduated from high school. During his school days, fate brought him together with a fellow student, Jackie Josephine Witt, whom he married on August 5, 1971.
Buzz dedicated more than two decades of his life to the United States Air Force, serving with honor and retiring as a Master Sgt. Not only did he serve his country with distinction, but he also pursued higher education at Brown Mackie College, earning his Bachelor's Degree upon retirement.
Outside of his military commitments, Buzz was a man of varied interests. He found joy in the freedom of the open road, often cruising on his motorcycle. His hands were just as skilled under the hood of a car as they were on the karaoke mic, showcasing his diverse talents. Among his greatest pleasures was spending quality time with his beloved grandchildren, Audrey Taylor and Dominic Billam.
Buzz is survived by his loving sons, Lester Taylor of Bixby and Joshua Taylor of Kansas City, as well as his cherished grandchildren and devoted sister, Michelle Toledano. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Jackie Taylor, and his sister Melissa.
A man of a good heart and caring nature, Buzz will be remembered for his dedication to family, his service to his country, and the warmth he brought to the lives of those around him. He departed this world on February 8, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of love and memories that will be treasured by all who had the privilege of knowing him. May he rest in peace.
