Leota Marie Morse's Obituary
Leota Marie Morse, age 95 years, of Houston, Texas, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 6, 2026. Born on May 7, 1930, Leota was the devoted daughter of Claude and Grace Morse and a cherished sister and aunt.
Leota will be remembered for her caring spirit and kindness. She was a loving caregiver for her parents and her older brother, Vernon, until their passings. She embraced with great joy and attention the role of sister and aunt. Some of her most treasured memories involved annual family summer weekends at the lake with her nieces and nephews. She enjoyed extended trips with family and friends. She worked for BP/Amoco for 30 plus years in the field of accounting. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Tulsa, Oklahoma for many years serving in several volunteer roles.
She is survived by her brother, Otto Morse and wife, Roberta of Cashion, Oklahoma, nephew, Earl Morse of Mounds, Oklahoma, niece, Marta Sowers of Tahlequah, Oklahoma, niece, Carla Anderson and husband, Wayne of Houston, Texas, nephew, Mack Morse and wife, Mary of Ponca City, Oklahoma, niece, Claudette Carper and husband Stewart of Wagoner, Oklahoma, nephew, Darrell Morse and wife, Cheryl of Cashion, Oklahoma, and nephew, Clayton Morse of Blanchard, Oklahoma. Also included are many great nieces and great nephews, great and great, great grandnieces and grandnephews, cousins and several lifelong friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Claude and Grace Morse, brothers Vernon, Virgil and Carl Morse, nephew Dean Morse, niece-in-law Linda Morse, nephew-in-law John Sowers, great grandnephew Kody Brown and great grandniece Natalie Furman.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, January 17, 2026, at Bixby South Tulsa Funeral Service.
