Leno Dallas Florer's Obituary
Leno Dallas Florer, 73, of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, passed away on November 14, 2024, at his residence. Born on April 27, 1951, in Hominy, Oklahoma, Dallas was the son of Carl and Ola (Bowers) Florer.
Raised in Jennings, Oklahoma, Dallas experienced early hardship with the loss of his father when he was just six years old. Despite this challenge, he developed a lifelong passion for John Deere tractors and excelled in his youth. At Mannford High School, he was a standout basketball player and held a leadership position on the school newspaper.
Dallas proudly served in the U.S. Navy, completing Aviation and Attrition School in Jacksonville, Florida, and stationed at North Island in San Diego. It was during this time that he met his wife, Marisol, who was from Colombia, South America. Their unique love story began as pen pals, speaking on the phone for three years before marrying on February 3, 2001, in a Baptist church in Terlton, Oklahoma.
A skilled electrician, Dallas received his training in the Navy and worked in this profession throughout his career, employed by the city of Sand Springs until his retirement in 2020. His knowledge of John Deere tractors was legendary, and his passion for these machines was a defining aspect of his life.
Dallas is survived by his beloved wife Marisol; two children, Jennifer and Shanna; and two siblings, Curtis and Carla. He was known for his deep love and connection with Marisol's family, who equally loved him.
A funeral ceremony will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday at the Rivercrest Chapel. Interment with U.S. Navy Military Honors is scheduled for 1:30 PM at Ft. Gibson National Cemetery.
