Larry Spring Obituary
A memorial ceremony honoring Larry Dale Spring will be held 10 AM Saturday, October 30, 2021 at the Rivercrest Chapel in Bixby. Pastor Chad Eads will be officiating. Larry passed away unexpectedly, Friday, October 22, 2021 at his home in Okmulgee County. He was 59.
Larry was born April 16, 1962, also in Okmulgee, the son of Larry and Manta (Wheeler) Spring. He was an outdoorsman from the very beginning. Larry graduated from Liberty School in 1981 and began working at a local horse farm breaking Arabians. He could also be found riding broncs in the rodeo.
Larry loved deer hunting, drinking Canadian Hunter’s whiskey, and fishing the Arkansas River. He loved noodling, and he successfully visited several other fishing holes near his property on a regular basis. Larry worked for the City of Broken Arrow since the 1980’s, most recently employed as a Division Chief for the street department.
Surviving family include his two sons, Clinton Spring (Kindra) and their children, Evalee, Elijah, Elam, Ellia, and Elayna; Blake Spring (Anna) and their children, Ella and Ava; as well as his sister, Teressa Lee (Kirk). Larry’s parents preceded him in death.
