Kenneth William Schumacher's Obituary
Kenneth William Schumacher, 49, of Jenks, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully at his residence on Sunday, June 8, 2025. Born on December 16, 1975, in Claremore, Oklahoma, Ken was the beloved son of Ronald Wayne Schumacher and Stephanie Jean (Cawhee) Lawson.
On July 17, 2004, Ken married the love of his life, Kari Dawn Roe, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Their union was a testament to love, commitment, and shared dreams.
Throughout his distinguished career, Ken touched countless lives through his dedication to mentoring and teaching. He possessed an extraordinary gift for instructing young men in skilled trades, helping them develop not only professional expertise but also the character traits needed to become successful, responsible men. Though he could be demanding when the situation required it, those who worked under his guidance understood that his expectations came from a place of genuine care and investment in their futures.
Ken was renowned for his exceptional problem-solving abilities and his willingness to tackle any challenge that came his way. His colleagues and friends knew they could count on him completely-he always showed up, no matter the circumstances, ready to do whatever needed to be done. His philosophy was simple yet profound: "work is work," and he approached every task with unwavering commitment and professionalism.
His career often took him on the road, away from home for extended periods. While he cherished his time with family, Ken found fulfillment in the variety and challenges that traveling work provided. He thrived on new projects, different locations, and the opportunity to solve complex problems. His restless spirit and love of challenge meant he was never one to back down from a difficult situation. If Ken hadn't done something before, he would figure it out-this natural ability to understand, repair, and improve virtually anything was one of his most remarkable gifts.
Ken's talents extended to his personal passions as well. He enjoyed restoring cars and could fix anything in his garage, bringing the same meticulous attention to detail and problem-solving skills to his hobbies as he did to his professional work.
Above all, Ken was dependable. This single word captures the essence of who he was: a man his family, friends, and colleagues could always count on. He was a devoted provider who worked tirelessly to ensure his family's well-being, sometimes at great personal sacrifice. His strong work ethic and reliability were the foundation upon which he built his life and career.
Ken is survived by his beloved wife, Kari; his children, Andrew Crawford; Andrea Dilldine and husband, Isaac Dilldine; Brooke Herrera and husband, Michael; Elizabeth Schumacher; William Schumacher; Keaton Schumacher; his brother Philip Schumacher and wife Candace; his sister Natalie Lawson; his mother Stephanie Lawson; and one granddaughter, Kinsley.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ronald Schumacher; his uncle Don Cawhee; and his grandparents William and Mary Cawhee, Anita Coffee, and Andrew Schumacher.
Ken's legacy lives on in the many lives he touched, the young men he guided toward success, and the family he loved so deeply. His memory will be cherished by all who knew him as a mentor, colleague, husband, and friend.
