Kathy Nation Obituary
Born Kathy Elaine Timmons on December 3, 1951 in Madill, Oklahoma, Kathy was the daughter of Owen and Geneva (Denny) Timmons. She was scrappy during her early years, not taking any slack from anyone. Throughout her entire lifetime, Kathy always spoke her mind. You never had to wonder about what she was thinking.
Kathy met Johnny Allen Nation in Bullhead City, Arizona and married him after only six short weeks of knowing each other. This young couple would live in Arizona, Texas, Utah and California before settling in the Bixby, Oklahoma area where they had an acreage and enjoyed caring for their horses. In addition to tending to their horses, Kathy and Johnny enjoyed hiking, traveling, refinishing antiques and doing leatherwork.
Kathy spent most of her career in the HR Department at Saint Francis Hospital. She also spent a few years working in the Phil Tower downtown Tulsa. She would never look out of the window because she was absolutely terrified of heights! A wonderful mother, grandmother, neighbor, and friend, Kathy will not soon be forgotten by so many people who loved her.
Survivors include her children, Roger Nation and wife, Tamara, and Brittany Nation and her husband, Keith Ramey; her grandchildren, Tyler Nation, Jaci Nation, McKenzie Nation and her husband, Luke Mendoza, Jesse Ryan Nation, Kolton Chase Nation, and Amanda Sisney; great grandson, Camden John Nation; as well as her brother, Brett Timmons.
Kathy was preceded in death by her parents; her husband and love of her life, Johnny Allen Nation, her daughter, Nikki Nation; and her granddaughter, Shaylyne Nicole Nation.
A memorial ceremony celebrating Kathy’s life will be held 2 PM Monday, August 23, 2021 at the Our Finest Hour Church in Coweta. Kathy passed away Thursday August 12, 2021 at St. John Medical Center in Tulsa. She was 69 years old.
The family of Kathy realizes that masks are a personal choice, and although not required, they kindly request that a mask be worn during the service in consideration of everyone’s safety. Masks will be provided for everyone’s convenience. It was Kathy’s request that nobody in attendance should be wearing black.
