Born April 8, 1952, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Kathy was the daughter of Juanita “Wanda” (Peevyhouse) Epperson. Raised in the Bixby community, it was there that Kathy attended schools. Upon graduation, she furthered her education, at Tulsa Community College, earning an Associate’s in Accounting. Kathy would find employment with Dollar Thrifty where her hard work was recognized by numerous awards.
When she was not at work, Kathy enjoyed fishing, gardening, being out on the lake, and working on her homeplace. She also enjoyed going to flea markets, antiquing, and shopping at garage sales. More than anything, she loved her grandchildren and spending time with her family.
Kathy passed from this life on Sunday, July 3, 2022 at her home. She was 70. Kathy is survived by: her son, Joshua Ellison and his wife, Bailee; grandchildren: Abigail and Jace Ellison; two brothers: Dale Bruner and wife, Cheryl and Ronnie Epperson; brother-in-law, Carl Knight; sister-in-law, Sherry Arnold. She is also survived by a large extended family including many beloved nieces, nephew, great nieces and great nephews.
She was preceded in death by: her daughter, Shelly Ellison; an infant daughter, Tracy; two brothers: Donnie Epperson and Tommy Arnold; sister, Nancy Knight and by her mother, Juanita Epperson.
