Kathryn Dorothea Propst's Obituary
Kathryn Dorothea Propst was born on November 25, 1936, in Independence, Missouri, to Joseph Leroy Rogers and Olive (Martin) Rogers. She spent her childhood and school years there, where she was an active student and enjoyed playing basketball.
Following her graduation from high school, Kathryn married William W. Propst on April 8, 1956. The two met at a church Halloween party, a moment that marked the beginning of a devoted marriage. William proudly served in the United States Army, and together they built a life that eventually led them to Tulsa, which became their permanent home in 2001. William preceded Kathryn in death in 2010.
Those who knew Kathryn would unfailingly describe her as sweet and kind-hearted. She found joy in the simple pleasures of life-reading, taking road trips, and traveling-activities that reflected her gentle spirit and curiosity for the world around her. Most of all, she loved her creator, Yehovah.
Kathryn is survived by her children, Joseph S. Propst and wife Tina, Vivian Williams, and Kent Propst; her grandchildren, Joshua Hand, Devon Williams, Dione Rodriguez, Christina Rosenberg, Clairisa Hood, Jordan Propst, Brandon Propst, Stephen Propst, Joshua Propst, Faith Propst, and Grace Propst; and twelve great-grandchildren, all of whom will cherish her memory.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Propst and three sisters.
